Divisional Round Stats of the Week

Stat of the Week no. 1: Tom Brady tied an NFL record with six touchdown passes and established a new Patriots' postseason record with 368 yards passing.

Stat of the Week no. 2: Arian Foster is the first undrafted player in NFL history to rush for 100 yards in each of his first two career playoff games.  He also became the first player to ever rush for more than 100 yards against the Ravens in a postseason game (previous high was Eddie George's 91 yards rushing in 2000).

Stat of the Week no. 3: Ed Reed is now the fifth player in NFL history with at least eight career playoff interceptions (9 - Ronnie Lott, Bill Simpson, Charlie Waters; 8 - Lester Hayes).

Stat of the Week no. 4: The Giants' 17-point win was the largest margin of victory ever posted by a road team to eliminate a defending Super Bowl champ.  In other news, the Packers became the first team in NFL history to lose their first playoff game after winning 15 or more games in the regular season.

Stat of the Week no. 5: In their last two playoff losses, the Saints have averaged 34 points per game and Drew Brees has averaged 61.5 attempts.

Bonus Stat of the Week: Hakeem Nicks is the third player in NFL history with two 65+ yard touchdown catches in the same postseason (Tim Brown, Isaac Bruce).

Bonus Stat of the Week: The Carolina Panthers scored 210 more points (406) in 2011 than they did in 2010 (196).  Cam Newton accounted for exactly 210 points (21 passing touchdowns & 14 rushing touchdowns).
