Week Five Stats of the Week

Stat of the Week no. 1: The Giants joined the 1954 Cardinals as the only teams in NFL history to start a season with five straight games allowing at least 30 points and committing at least three turnovers.

Stat of the Week no. 2: Brandon Marshall's five targets on Sunday accounted for only 15% of the Bears' pass attempts, the lowest percentage since Marshall joined the team.  The Bears are now 0-4 when Marshall accounts for fewer than 20% of the team's targets.

Stat of the Week no. 3: 54 games this season were within 7 points in the 4th quarter, which is the most in NFL history through five weeks.

Stat of the Week no. 4: Geno Smith is the first rookie in the Super Bowl era to go on the road and throw 3 TDs, 0 INTs, and complete 80% of attempts.

Stat of the Week no. 5: Tony Romo is the 5th QB to throw for at least 500 yards and 5 TDs in a game (Norm Van Brocklin, Y.A. Tittle, Matthew Stafford, Matt Schaub).
